INGA ENNA SOLLUDHU SONGS REVIEW

Inga Enna Solludhu, directed by Vincent Selva, has VTV Ganesh, Santhanam and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles with cameos by STR and Andrea. Music is by Dharan Kumar.

Shuklam Bharatham

Singers: Kalyani Menon

Lyrics: Traditional

The album opens on an auspicious note with the utterances of the traditional wedding chant by Kalyani Menon. Dharan doesn’t try anything fancy here and keeps it simple focusing on the chant to create an aura for itself.

Appa Tucker

Singers: Psycho Unit

Lyrics: Psycho Unit (Malaysia)

An EDM anthem like groove serves as the backdrop of Psycho Unit’s vocal deliveries. The song’s instrumental is pretty impressive with exciting sonic developments that seem to scale higher and higher. Psycho Unit’s track record proves that they’re more effective when rapping rather than singing. Lyrically too, the rap outfit has the potential to come up with witty and powerful lines and this tune in that aspect is slightly underwhelming but still turns out to be enjoyable.

Cute Aana

Singers: Naresh Iyer

Lyrics: Lallu

Rest on simple guitar note picking and strumming, the melody is very much the hero here. The glorious piano harmonics and the splendid flute solo are toppings that enhance the intimacy of the tune. The backing vocals harmonies along with Naresh Iyer’s voice bring about an overall richness to the composition.

Avan Ivan

Singers: NSK Ramya

Lyrics: VTV Ganesh

Dharan could have simply dragged this song along as a straight up dance tune but the composer instead puts some more effort to ensure it isn’t a run of the mill track. He throws in some noise and effects and confidently pulls it off giving the song some interesting dynamics with Ramya NSK sounding the right vibes.

Kuttipayale

Singers: STR

Lyrics: STR

Clearly aimed at delivering a crowd pleaser, Dharan and STR team up and get most things right. The lyrics are typical of STR, philosophical and at the same time every bit colloquial. The rhythm, words and singing are strong enough to engage the listener and lead them into a really nice and catchy sing-along chorus.

Verdict: A fun album that’s well produced and packaged.
